I got lucky. I don't know if it's a new vendor, or just a seasonal change, but ai picked up a bunch of really good beer at nice discounts these last 2 days. Start with Goose Island, a bunch of Pere Jacques, pepe Nero, and Matilda. From there, a dozen Founders Breakfast Stout. 10.50 a 6 pack. Nice. Gonna try to put a bunch of the Jacq aside and see if I can manage to save it a few years. Typos eman the bear is working!

Ooooh have you tried Goose Island 312? One of my favorite beers.

I have a bomber each of Pere Jacques, Pepe Nero, Matilda, Sophie, and Juliet aging in my basement, all from pre-February 2011 (aka InBev buyout), one of these days I'll open them and compare to "un-aged" versions.

Well, I have now tried all three, and as they come bottled, Jacq is by far my favorite. Nero comes next, and I really didn't care that much for Matilda. I'm just not always a fan of Belgian yeasts. They just don't do it for me. Should be pretty easy letting that one sit.

I had Matilda on tap a few months ago, it was pretty good. Then again I like a wide variety of styles, YMMV.
